The Art of Painting – Chitrasutra

Chitrasutra, a section of the Vishnudharmottara Purana, is a gift to the world from the greatest brains of ancient times!

We're excited to show you the original Chitrasutra artworks that our students from the Realm of Dragonflies batch conceptualised and created.

Like any other art forms, Indian wisdom has sutras (grammars) to create profound & divine paintings. According to Chitrasutra, an artist must be able to see beyond an object in order to capture the essence of the soul in their work.

"Being able to look beyond" may seem surrealistic to many. But we believe it is achievable. Because "beyond" is what we call creativity. And we teach you how to tap into the creative realm.

To put it another way, art is not the recreation of an object on canvas. It's about giving life to a form, distinguishing between the energy of light and the depth of darkness, and, most significantly, the delight of making it.

According to Chitrasutra, true art exposes the grace of creation to everyone who see it.
