The world's largest tropical island, New Guinea boasts a spectacular and exceptionally diverse assemblage of songbirds called the iconic birds of paradise.

This project illustrates 12 fascinating birds of paradise in water colours, inspired from the artist Yasmina's style of water-colouring.

Watching documentaries and reading blogs by versatile bird watchers helped us visualise, understand their nature and jaw - dropping moves of these birds, across different time periods. Oru immense gratitude to them for giving a visual and audio treat of these flambyont and mystical birds on earth. Few of the notable resources are here below
Dancing with the Birds | Netflix Official Site refers to birds of paradise as, from ruffling their majestic feathers to nailing im-peck-able courtship routines, birds in paradise flaunt their best moves in hopes of landing a mate.

A huge takeaway from these birds were baby birds learn from their fathers, imitate and practice the  dance moves all their life preparing for their versatile courtship routines in landing their better halves ( the purpose of their existence ). As humans our kids imitate us and pick qualities from us irrespective of good and bad. Kids' behaviour is an reflections of us adults, parents and other family members. This shows the importance being conscious of our behaviour especially infront of kids. Hence, we have composed these melancholic illustrations with quotes necessary for grooming oneself.
