The Culinary Panchatantra - Cheriyal Scroll Style
My love for Indian folk art is deeply intertwined with my admiration for Indian heritage — especially the wisdom held within our traditional kitchens. What inspired this project is not just the beauty of old kitchen tools, but the thoughtful way they were designed for specific functions, rooted in health and daily rhythm. Each tool, from the ammikkal to the ural, was shaped with purpose and intention — not mass-produced, but crafted to serve. Our pattis and ammas knew exactly how to use them, turning every meal into a nourishing ritual. I’ve always respected their hard work, silent strength, and unwavering love for their families. This is my tribute to them — the women who gave us more than food; they passed down care, culture, and memory. Through this project, I honour the hands that made every meal a gift through CHERIYAL SCROLL PAINTING STYLE.
